IPTV on a Windows PC or Mac
A laptop or desktop is the easiest place to test an IPTV service, because installing a player takes a minute and you already know how to use the machine.
What you need
- Windows 10 or newer, or a Mac on a recent macOS
- A player that accepts M3U or Xtream login, either a desktop app or a media player
- A wired or strong WiFi connection
- The trial login we send on WhatsApp
Setup, step by step
- 01
Pick a player
VLC is a free option that opens an M3U link directly. Dedicated IPTV apps add a programme guide and favourites.
- 02
Add the playlist
In VLC choose Open Network Stream and paste the link. In a dedicated app choose Add Playlist.
- 03
Choose a channel
Search the list, or open the guide view if your player has one.
- 04
Send to the TV
Use an HDMI cable, or cast the screen if you prefer to watch in the living room.
Tips that save time
- Close heavy tabs and downloads while you watch. They fight for the same bandwidth.
- On a laptop, plug in the charger. Streaming drains batteries quickly.
- Keep the player updated so new codecs are supported.
